Research suggests that micronutrients may benefit expectant mothers who are depressed as well as their offspring.

Worldwide, between 15 and 21 percent of expectant mothers suffer from antenatal depression. In addition to raising the risk of post-natal depression, it can affect how babies develop and how well babies are born.
