Research shows that men are more likely than women to survive germ cell tumors.

The prognosis for women with germ cell tumors, a subtype of ovarian cancer, is poorer than that of men with comparable tumors (i.e. e. pancreatic cancer). Ninety-eight percent of men survived the illness after five years, despite the survival rate.
