Care for men with mpox may have been hampered by their sexual identity concealment.

During the global mpox outbreak that disproportionately affected men, men who identify as openly gay, bisexual, or members of other sexual minorities were more likely to seek care for the illness than those who keep their sexual orientation a secret.
