Stress ulcer prophylaxis (SUP) did not seem to add to the risk of adverse effects associated with SUP or be beneficial in preventing gastrointestinal bleeding, according to a poster abstract presented at the American Society of Health-System Pharmacists Midyear Clinical Meeting and Exhibition in Anaheim, California.
