According to a study, the majority of acute care hospitals in their local market do not admit a proportionately high number of Black Medicare patients.

A study that examined a sizable sample of Medicare admissions at almost 2,000 acute care hospitals across the country in 2019 discovered that almost four out of five of the hospitals admitted a noticeably different percentage of Black patients.
