Older men's asthma attacks could be brought on by an army of specialized T cells.

Researchers from the La Jolla Institute for Immunology (LJI) and The University of Southampton in the UK have identified a subset of immune cells that may be responsible for severe asthma. Cytotoxic CD4+ tissue-resident memory cells are what these cells are known as.
