Cell therapies in cancer patients are being tracked by a new diagnostic imaging tool.

An innovative technique to track the survival of a cancer cell therapy is being tested in a pilot study at the University of California San Diego School of Medicine. Cells are "tagged" with a fluorine-based nanoemulsion agent before being infused into the patient.
