According to a study, taking warfarin shouldn't prevent stroke patients from having life-saving surgery to remove blood clots.

According to UT Southwestern Medical Center researchers, the majority of stroke patients taking the anticoagulant warfarin were no more likely than those not taking the medication to experience a brain bleed during a procedure to remove a blood clot.
