Scientists have identified a new gene that controls the toxicity of the β-amyloid protein, responsible for Alzheimer's disease.

An international study conducted by the Molecular Physiology Laboratory of the UPF School of Medicine and Life Sciences (MELIS)​​​​ has identified novel genes that regulate the toxicity of more β-amyloid proteins.
