New biological mechanisms that underlie the connection between childhood trauma and psychosis are being discovered by researchers.

Changes on several important genes have been found in recent research led by the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology, and Neuroscience (IoPPN) at King's College London, which may help explain why people who experience traumatic events as children may exhibit certain traits.
