Treating nephrocalcinosis in newborns: A primer for clinicians.

Approximately 40% of premature babies born in the U.S. S. have a disorder called nephrocalcinosis, which causes the kidneys to accumulate too much calcium. Sadly, underdiagnosis occurs frequently. The presence of nephrocalcinosis is not always noticed by neonatologists.
