Three years following surgery, some breast cancer survivors can safely de-escalate their mammograms.

The results of the showed that women 50 years of age or older who de-escalated to less-frequent mammography three years after curative surgery for early-stage breast cancer had comparable outcomes to those who received annual mammography.
