Long-term increased risk of cardiovascular disease is associated with prior cancer.

The results of a significant UK Biobank study, which were published online in the journal, suggest that cancer survivors may be at long-term increased risk of developing subsequent cardiovascular disease, regardless of traditional underlying risk factors.
