A study reveals that the most effective treatment for chronic hepatitis D is peginterferon alfa-2a and bulevirtide.

For patients with chronic liver disease, the combination of bulevirtide and peginterferon alfa-2a is more effective than bulevirtide monotherapy in achieving undetectable hepatitis D virus (HDV) RNA levels 24 weeks after treatment ends.
