Children who are American Indian or Alaska Native are hospitalized frequently for RSV.

Results from this ongoing, facility-based surveillance study showed that, compared to estimates from the methodologically comparable US New Vaccine Surveillance Network (NVSN), hospitalization rates for children under the age of five were 1 to 7 times higher among American Indian and Alaska Native children.
