There is a positive correlation between frailty and a common cat-borne parasite in the elderly.

According to a study, a common parasite found in cats that is already linked to risk-taking behavior and mental illness in humans may also be responsible for signs of "frailty" in older adults, such as exhaustion and muscle loss.
