A "self-taught" artificial intelligence tool aids in the diagnosis and prognosis of common lung cancer.

The most common type of lung cancer, adenocarcinoma, can be correctly diagnosed by a computer program driven by artificial intelligence and based on information from almost 500,000 tissue images, according to a recent study.
