Research shows that after childbirth, the likelihood of a mental health relapse is decreased by community perinatal mental health teams.

According to recent research, women who have experienced severe mental illness in the past are less likely to relapse after giving birth in areas where community perinatal mental health teams (CPMHT) are available.
