Obesity-related risk factors for cancer vary by sex and cancer type.

Obesity has previously been associated with an increased risk of cancer, but the majority of studies did not distinguish between the risks for male and female patients. A recent investigation, released on June 12 in the journal Cancer Cell, looks more closely.
