In patients with severe refractory epilepsy, adjuvant cenobamate significantly lowers seizures and hospitalization rates.

A recent 6-month cohort study, which was presented at the 2023 AES Annual Meeting, showed that adjuvant cenobamate, when given to patients with severe refractory focal epilepsy, significantly decreased the number of seizures in these patients and may have positive effects on hospitalization rates after all.
