New antimalarial drugs are more effective than current treatments but do not improve adverse outcomes

A large trial led by LSTM showed that a new antimalarial drug, dihydroartemisinin-piperaquine, was more effective against malaria than the current WHO-approved treatment, but did not improve side effects.
