A study reveals that the brain is altered during pregnancy: mothers' sense of smell is shaped by stem cells.

The experience of pregnancy and motherhood changes the brain. Through mouse experiments, a research team at the University of Basel has now found that different pools of stem cells in the adult brain are activated during pregnancy.
