According to a study, newborns with higher hair cortisol levels have more trouble falling asleep.

A recent study that will be presented on Tuesday, June 6 at the SLEEP 2023 annual meeting claims that cortisol levels in late pregnancy can predict how much time infants will sleep. Another publication of this study is in Sleep.
