Influenza is responsible for multiple deaths and about 20 to 30% of the deaths occurring annually are observed in children depicting the poor condition of controlling influenza in children. The virus is present globally but is not that powerful to create an epidemic.

Influenza is a contagious infection in nature causing high fever, body aches, cough, and other symptoms. Basically the children suffer for less than a week with the flu, but in cases of serious illness, they may need to be admitted to the hospital.

The outbreak of COVID 19 has an impact on the incidence of influenza infection. Research reveals that there is a rapid decrease in influenza circulation levels in 2020 and 2021 due to the outbreak of the pandemic.
