Blood Clotting Disorders Explained

Speciality: Hematology

Speaker:

Dr. AJGARE SACHIN MADHUKAR | Consultant Hematologist

Description:

Welcome to our podcast. Today, we're breaking down blood clotting disorders—a group of conditions that affect how your blood forms clots. Normally, clotting stops bleeding when you’re injured. But with these disorders, the process can be too slow or too fast. Haemophilia, for example, makes it hard for blood to clot, leading to excessive bleeding. On the other hand, conditions like deep vein thrombosis cause clots to form too easily, increasing the risk of blockages in blood vessels. Both types can be serious and require medical attention. Understanding the signs, such as unexplained bruising or swelling, is crucial. If you notice these symptoms, consult your doctor. Early diagnosis and treatment make a big difference. Thanks for listening.
