Diabetes survey

Dear Doctor - Participate in the Survey on diabetes " A new survey has revealed that more than one in four adults in the UK are living with diabetes. The study, conducted by Diabetes UK, found that 27% of adults aged 16 and over have the condition, which is equivalent to around 8.4 million people. The survey also found that of those with diabetes, almost two thirds (63%) don’t know they have it. This is particularly worrying as many of the serious complications associated with diabetes, such as heart disease, stroke and kidney failure, can be prevented or delayed if the condition is diagnosed early and managed properly. Diabetes UK is calling on the government to do more to raise awareness of the condition and its risk factors, as well as improve access to diagnosis and treatment services. Participate in Surveys "
