Description:

Welcome to our podcast. Today, let’s talk about what you can expect during an emergency department assessment. When you arrive, a triage nurse will quickly assess your condition to determine the level of urgency. You may be asked about your symptoms, medical history, medications, and any allergies. Vital signs like blood pressure, pulse, and temperature are typically measured. Based on this information, you’ll be assigned a priority level, and then seen by a doctor or healthcare provider. They may order tests or scans to help diagnose your issue. Remember, the emergency team’s goal is to provide timely care based on medical need. Staying calm and providing accurate information helps ensure the best care possible.
