Screening for Eustachian Tube Dysfunction Through Wideband Tympanometry

Speciality: ENT

Speaker:

Description:

Welcome to today’s episode, where we explore the screening of Eustachian Tube Dysfunction using wideband tympanometry. Eustachian Tube Dysfunction, or ETD, is a common condition affecting the ear’s ability to equalise pressure, often leading to discomfort or hearing problems. Traditional tympanometry offers some insight, but wideband tympanometry provides a more comprehensive analysis by measuring sound transmission across a broader frequency range. This advanced method can identify subtle changes in middle ear function, helping clinicians detect ETD more accurately and earlier than before. Early detection means timely intervention, improving patient outcomes. Stay tuned as we discuss more innovations in audiology and ear health.
