Understanding Fever in Children and When to Seek Care

Speciality: Pediatrics

Speaker:

Kavitha K | HCP

Description:

Welcome to our podcast on child health. Fever in children is common and often not dangerous. It’s the body’s natural response to infection, helping to fight off germs. Most fevers can be managed at home with rest, fluids, and fever medicine if your child is uncomfortable. However, seek medical care if your child is under three months old and has a fever, or if they have trouble breathing, persistent vomiting, seizures, a rash, or seem unusually drowsy. Always trust your instincts as a parent. If you feel something isn’t right, consult a doctor. Remember, understanding when to seek help can make a big difference in your child’s health.
