Welcome to today’s episode. Dehydration in infants and young children can happen quickly and may become serious if not recognized early. Look for signs like a dry mouth, sunken eyes, fewer wet nappies, or lack of tears when crying. Babies may also seem unusually sleepy or irritable. Causes include vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, or not drinking enough fluids. If you notice these signs, offer oral rehydration solutions and seek medical help promptly. Remember, young children are more vulnerable to dehydration than adults. Early recognition and action can make all the difference. Stay aware, and keep your little ones safe and hydrated.
