Speciality: Fever
Description:
Welcome to our podcast. Today, we’re discussing when a fever requires medical evaluation. Fever is a common symptom, often caused by infections. Most mild fevers can be managed at home with rest and fluids. However, a fever warrants medical attention if it persists for more than three days, is above 39.4°C, or is accompanied by symptoms such as severe headache, neck stiffness, shortness of breath, chest pain, confusion, or persistent vomiting. In infants, any fever in a baby younger than three months should prompt a doctor’s visit. Always trust your instincts. If you feel unwell beyond the fever or have underlying health conditions, seek medical advice. Early evaluation ensures better outcomes.
