Once sepsis is recognized, immediate management is crucial. The 'Sepsis Six' care bundle, which includes three diagnostic and three therapeutic steps to be delivered within one hour of recognition, has been shown to reduce mortality. These steps include blood cultures, serum lactate measurement, and broad-spectrum antibiotics administration. Rapid fluid resuscitation and vasopressors for refractory hypotension are also crucial in the early management of sepsis.
