Pregnancy is a unique physiological state characterized by significant hemodynamic, metabolic, and hormonal alterations. These adaptations are essential for fetal development but may reveal latent cardiovascular and metabolic vulnerabilities. Postpartum, women may remain at increased risk for developing chronic conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular disease. Effective management following pregnancy-associated cardiometabolic adaptation necessitates a comprehensive approach, integrating evidence-based strategies tailored to the unique needs of this population. Long-term follow-up studies have demonstrated that women with a history of preeclampsia, GDM, or peripartum cardiomyopathy exhibit a two- to seven-fold increased risk of developing chronic cardiovascular and metabolic diseases.
