What is the dosage of levofloxacin?

The total daily dose should not exceed 2000 mg. To ensure that you receive the correct dose, measure the liquid form of levofloxacin with a special measuring spoon or cup, not a regular table spoon. If you do not have a measuring device, ask your pharmacist where you can get one.

Levofloxacin should be taken with water and can be taken with or without food.
If you stop taking levofloxacin too soon, your infection may come back and be more difficult to treat.

-Allergic reactions: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat.

-Nervous system problems: agitation, hallucinations, seizure (convulsions), tremor, and paralysis (severe muscle weakness).
There are different levofloxacin dosage options depending on the condition being treated. For most conditions, the recommended dose is 250 mg to 750 mg taken once daily.
For some infections, a higher dose may be necessary, such as 1000 mg to 1500 mg taken once daily. The maximum recommended dose is 1500 mg per day.
Levofloxacin can be taken with or without food. If you take it with food, try to eat low-fat meals to avoid problems with absorption.
Taking the correct dosage of levofloxacin is important in order to ensure that it works effectively and without side effects.Taking too little or too much may result in adverse reactions, so never adjust dosages without consulting with a medical professional first.
