After an ICU stay, survivors often face physical, emotional, and cognitive challenges known as post-intensive care syndrome. Families, too, may experience stress, anxiety, or changes in their roles. Recent research highlights the importance of family-centered care and early support interventions. By understanding these dynamics, clinicians can better support both survivors and their loved ones throughout recovery.
