Understanding Multiple Sclerosis and Its Neurological Impact

Speciality: Neurology

Speaker:

Description:

Welcome to today’s episode, where we explore Multiple Sclerosis, or MS, and its impact on the nervous system. MS is an autoimmune condition where the immune system mistakenly attacks the protective covering of nerve fibers in the brain and spinal cord. This leads to communication problems between the brain and the rest of the body. Symptoms can vary widely, from fatigue and numbness to problems with balance, vision, and muscle control. While there is currently no cure for MS, treatments are available that can help manage symptoms and slow the progression of the disease. Understanding MS is crucial for early intervention and better quality of life. Thanks for joining us as we shed light on this complex neurological condition.
