Speciality: Infection Control
Description:
Hand hygiene is one of the simplest and most effective ways to prevent infections, both in healthcare settings and in our daily lives. Our hands come into contact with countless surfaces each day, picking up germs that can easily spread to our mouths, eyes, or other people. Washing your hands thoroughly with soap and water for at least 20 seconds removes most germs and significantly reduces the risk of illness. If soap and water aren’t available, alcohol-based hand sanitizers are a good alternative. Consistent hand hygiene protects not only yourself but also those around you, breaking the chain of infection. Make hand hygiene a regular habit—it’s your first line of defense against many infectious diseases.
