Speciality: Radiology
Description:
Welcome to our podcast. Today, let’s clarify the differences between X-Ray, CT, and MRI scans. X-Rays are quick imaging tools that use radiation to capture images of dense structures, like bones. CT scans, or computed tomography, also use X-rays, but they compile multiple images to create detailed cross-sectional views of the body. MRIs, or magnetic resonance imaging, use strong magnets and radio waves rather than radiation, making them ideal for viewing soft tissues like the brain, muscles, and organs. Each method has its strengths: X-Rays for bones, CT scans for detailed body images, and MRIs for soft tissues. Understanding these differences helps you make informed choices about your health care. Thanks for listening.
