Speciality: Anesthesia

Speaker:

Dr. RUDRARAJU RAMACHANDRA RAJU | Consultant Anesthesologist

Description:

Welcome to our podcast. Today, we’re tackling some common myths about anaesthesia. Many people believe that anaesthesia isn’t safe, or that you might never wake up after being put under. In reality, modern anaesthesia is extremely safe, with highly trained professionals monitoring you throughout the entire process. Another myth is that you’ll always remember what happens during surgery, but this is exceptionally rare. Some worry that anaesthesia is just a deep sleep, but it’s actually a controlled, reversible state that prevents pain and awareness. If you have concerns, always talk to your anaesthetist beforehand. Understanding the facts can help ease your mind and make your surgical experience smoother.
