Description:

A warm welcome to all the medical professionals in this interesting session on newer advances in the management of atopic dermatitis and role of PDE4 inhibitor.
Recent advances in the management of atopic dermatitis (AD) have introduced novel therapies targeting the underlying immune pathways involved in the disease. Traditional treatments, such as topical corticosteroids and immunosuppressants, while effective, can have limitations in long-term use due to side effects. Emerging biologics and small-molecule therapies offer more precise targeting of inflammation, improving outcomes for patients with moderate to severe AD.
One of the newer advances includes the use of PDE4 inhibitors, such as crisaborole, which selectively inhibit the enzyme phosphodiesterase 4 (PDE4). By blocking PDE4, these inhibitors reduce the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, helping to control inflammation in the skin. PDE4 inhibitors offer an alternative for patients seeking non-steroidal topical treatments, providing effective symptom relief while minimizing the side effects associated with corticosteroids.
Therefore, get an overall knowledge on newer advances in the management of atopic dermatitis and role of PDE4 inhibitor. Listen to the webinar, grab the shared knowledge, and follow Hidoc for more such interesting webinar sessions.
