Speciality: Dermatology
Description:
Welcome to our podcast on case-based learning in dermatology. This approach uses real patient cases to teach diagnostic and management skills. Instead of memorising textbook information, learners are presented with clinical scenarios—like a patient with a mysterious rash or sudden hair loss. They discuss symptoms, possible diagnoses, and treatment plans, much like in real practice. This method encourages active problem-solving, critical thinking, and teamwork. Case-based learning also helps learners recall and apply knowledge more effectively when faced with similar cases in the future. By bridging theory and practice, it prepares future dermatologists to confidently manage the diverse skin conditions they’ll encounter in their careers.
