Rheumatoid arthritis is an autoimmune disease with chronic inflammatory arthritis. The patients undergo severe pain with swollen joints. Being an autoimmune disease it needs a proper attention to the inflammatory pathways or rather targeting inflammatory molecules which can alter the responses and help in getting a potential cure of the disease.

The speakers Dr. B G Dharmanand, Dr. Ashit Syngle, Dr. Parthajit Das and Dr. M Hema has provided an elaborative knowledge on the immunological management of rheumatoid arthritis using the current approaches. Also it includes the association of cardiovascular events with the disease. 

Patients with RA have an increased risk of developing heart disease which could be because of the treatments. Therapies used to treat RA may also affect the development of heart disease, thus, needs to be managed properly.
