It is also crucial to monitor and evaluate the impact of the AMS program to identify areas for improvement and demonstrate its value to stakeholders.
In conclusion, antimicrobial stewardship is critical for advancing patient care in hospital settings. Through the appropriate use of antimicrobials, it can help to combat the global threat of antimicrobial resistance, improve patient outcomes, and reduce healthcare costs. Therefore, hospitals should prioritize the implementation of effective AMS programs and overcome any barriers to their success.
