Healthy lifestyle choices, including regular exercise, a balanced diet, and avoiding tobacco and excessive alcohol, can lower the risk of SCD. Medical professionals should encourage these lifestyle modifications in all patients, particularly those at high risk of SCD.
Preventing SCD is a multifaceted approach that involves identifying high-risk patients, effective screening, pharmacological interventions, use of implantable devices, and promoting healthy lifestyle choices. By adopting these proactive measures, medical professionals can significantly reduce the incidence of SCD.
