Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD) is a progressive lung disease that affects millions globally. Healthcare professionals should provide clear instructions about inhaler techniques, the importance of adherence to therapy, and signs of exacerbation.
Recent advancements in the understanding of COPD pathophysiology have led to the development of novel therapeutic targets. Future directions in COPD management include personalized medicine, targeting specific phenotypes or endotypes, and the use of biomarkers to guide therapy. The role of digital health technologies in monitoring and managing COPD is also an exciting area of research.

Understanding the disease, accurate diagnosis, individualized treatment plan, patient education, and staying abreast with the latest research are key to optimal COPD management.
