Peripheral neuropathy can stem from a multitude of etiologies, including metabolic, toxic, and autoimmune conditions. Diabetes mellitus remains the most common cause. A thorough history and physical examination, guided laboratory investigations, and the judicious use of imaging techniques form the cornerstone of this evaluation. As our understanding of peripheral neuropathy evolves, so too must our approach to its evaluation, ensuring that patients receive timely and appropriate management.
