Management of dyslipidemia involves lifestyle modifications and pharmacotherapy. Lifestyle interventions include dietary changes, regular physical activity, and weight management. Pharmacological treatment consists of statins, bile acid sequestrants, cholesterol absorption inhibitors, fibric acid derivatives, and niacin. The choice of drug depends on the specific lipid abnormality and patient's overall cardiovascular risk.
Clinicians play a vital role in diagnosing and managing dyslipidemia. They should educate patients about the importance of lifestyle modifications and adherence to medication. Regular follow-up is essential to assess the effectiveness of the treatment plan and to make necessary adjustments.

An understanding of its diagnosis and management is essential for clinicians to reduce the morbidity and mortality associated with this condition. Through patient education and regular monitoring, clinicians can effectively manage dyslipidemia and ultimately improve cardiovascular outcomes.
