While some viral infections are mild and can be treated with over-the-counter medications, others can be more serious and require medical attention. In recent years, scientists have been exploring the potential of ribavirin, a drug used to treat certain viral infections, to treat other viral infections.

Ribavirin is an antiviral drug that is most commonly used to treat hepatitis C, a chronic viral infection of the liver. It is a nucleoside analog, meaning it works by interfering with the replication of the virus. How Does Ribavirin Work?
