Furthermore, adopting a patient-centered approach, considering non-pharmacological interventions, and simplifying medication regimens where possible can also reduce the risks.
Unraveling the complexity of polypharmacy and mitigating the risks of DDIs is a critical aspect of modern healthcare. By deepening our understanding of drug interactions and adopting proactive strategies, we can ensure safer and more effective pharmacotherapy for our patients.
