These include infrequent bowel movements, hard or lumpy stools, excessive straining, and a sensation of incomplete evacuation.

By understanding the multifaceted nature of this condition, healthcare professionals can unlock relief for their patients, thereby improving their quality of life. Future research into novel therapies, such as the role of probiotics, can potentially offer new avenues for treatment.
